Enhancing Political Participation of Marginalized Women in Nepal was a 2 year project implemented since October 2008 to September 2010. The project was funded by United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF)and implemented in 5 selected districts from 5 development regions of Nepal namely: Sankhuwasabha in the East, Kavrepalanchowk in the Centre, Lamjung in the West, Banke in the Mid-West and Kanchanpur in the Far West of Nepal. The project was implemented by WVAF as one of the national partners leading the capacity building component of the project in consortium with Association of District Development Committees of Nepal (ADDCN) as the lead and National Indigenous Women Forum (NIWF) as partner and DDCs of 5 Selected Districts as local partners. The primary target groups of the project included marginalized women from a total of 25 Village Development Committees (VDCs) that is 5 VDCs from each selected district, local authorities of the selected VDCs and District Development Committees (DDCs).
