World Vision Advocacy Forum, a national
non-governmental organization established in 2004, is committed to
improve the status of the marginalized, disadvantaged and vulnerable
segments of the population including women and children. WVAF Nepal works for
the empowerment of marginalized groups following the successive steps of
awareness raising, capacity building through various community enabling
initiatives and eventually for their entitlement that is raising them to
the level where they can claim their rights and carry on the functions
devolved to the community level. It lays emphasis on the importance of
community participation and mobilization of local resources for the
success and sustainability of development activities.
WVAF Nepal is a premium national NGO registered in
District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu and affiliated with Social
Welfare Concil (SWC) of Government of Nepal. Its registration number at
DAO is 595 and SWC affiliation number is 23050. Its permanent account
number (PAN) is 30240365.
WVAF Nepal aims to work for the establishment of a
fair, just and equitable society without any discrimination and
exploitation by mainstreaming the marginalized, disadvantaged and
vulnerable groups in the national development through organizing various
advocacy campaigns and awareness raising programs. The strategic
objectives are:

Carry
out advocacy and awareness campaigns in order to include the
backward class in the society, women and children, Dalits,
indigenous people, Madhesi, geographical disadvantage area,
minorities, and people living with disability and HIV/AIDS in the
mainstream of nation building,

Implement participatory, transparent, equitable and inclusive local
development projects focusing on the rights of disadvantaged and
conflict affected population,

Empower rural people through partnership by providing technical,
institutional and policy support,

Strengthen women’s ability to become leaders in their communities,

Initiate various projects related to protection and promotion of
human rights, good governance, trafficking and migration, peace
building and conflict mitigation, quality education, sustainable
livelihoods promotion, public health, climate change, renewal energy
technology promotion, and community development based on significant
people participation.
